The Upper Great Gorge

The end of the Upper Great Gorge during low water. On November first the flow of water over Niagara Falls and through the Niagara Gorge is cut in half from its summertime volume. The lower volume causes the river level to drop 11 feet exposing more rocks along the river banks.

For waterfalls you can visit in the
western half of New York State click here.
