Bridge Plaque and Upper Great Gorge

Photo © by Scott A. Ensminger

The plaque on this rock commemorates the engineers of the 11 bridges that have been built across the Niagara River Gorge. It is located a short distance down river of the of the Rainbow Bridge. In this early springtime photo you can see the remnants of an ice bridge down in the gorge.
