Denison Falls

Location: Cayuga Nature Center, Route 89, 5.5 miles north of Ithaca.

CNC Building      The Cayuga Nature Center is a fantastic place to visit any time of the year. The center covers an area of 140 acres with forests and fields. A large lodge is filled with interesting and educational nature exhibits. Some include live animals. Hours for the lodge are Tuesday thru Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM. There are also many interesting outdoor exhibits and over five miles of trails. The trail are open daily from dawn to dusk. Excellent environmental education programs are also offered.

CNC Trail
     From the parking area in font of the lodge walk to the right (north) and around the corner of the lodge. Follow the orange markers of the All Peoples Trail to the west. In a short distance you will come to a connector trail leading to TreeTops, a 5 story tree house. You can view Denison Falls from this unique observation tower and from areas along the trail. Denison Plack


     Denison Falls in named in honor of local naturalist Marion Denison Ehrhart. The falls faces to the northeast, has a crest that is 13 feet wide, and has a height of 21 feet.
